Seminar to discuss air quality and urban transport

VietNamNet Bridge – A seminar on improving the quality of air and urban transport will be held in Hanoi on March 21.

At a March 19 press briefing about the seminar, Marc Cagnard, Country Manager UBIFRANCE Vietnam said that France wants to develop cooperation with Vietnam in trade, industry and technology.

The seminar, held under the auspices of the French embassy in Vietnam and the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment, will be an important event to promote environmental research and Vietnam-France cooperation in this field.

It will also offer a good opportunity for environmental experts to share information and experiences in issues related to the link between air quality and urban transport and discuss ways to improve the situation in Hanoi, Mr Cagnard said.

The one-day seminar will focus on public transport in Hanoi, the network of monitoring stations in France, quantitative evaluations for reducing exhaust fumes with a sustainable transport system, and solutions for enhancing public transport and controlling air quality in Hanoi.
